The Consensus of Global Teaching Evaluation Systems under a Sustainable Development Perspective

As an elemental driving force for promoting teaching reform, evaluation has been receiving extensive attention in the fundamental reform of overall education system. Using six dimensions including indicators, objectives, methods, interest relations, rights and roles, accountability models, this article conducts a survey eighteen systems seven countries United States, Germany, China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Chile. After analyzing these systems, paper concluded following major trends: indicators tend to be more standardized, objectives are closer teachers’ professional development, methods pay formative evaluation, relationships low-risk, plays diagnostic role growth increased autonomy schools At last, proposed that future system should focus on improving skills profession, designing with principle combining practice theory, finally changing from high-risk summative results low-risk ones.
